Behavior and Expectations

In our class, as well as throughout our entire school, we focus on three main rules.
We are Respectful
We are Responsible
We are Learners
When students begin to understand what each of these mean, they realize that every action they make at school falls into one of these three categories. Students are expected to treat others, themselves, and any school/personal property with respect.
Students are  expected  to be responsible for their actions and their belongings.
Students are  expected  to try each and every day to be the best learner they can be.

During the first 2 days of school students wrote their own rules for the class. We figured out where each rule they created would fall within the categories of "respectful", "responsible", and a "learner".

Your child may talk about "Class Dojo" points.  This is a new behavior system in which students can earn positive and negative points throughout the week.  At the end of the week students need to have at least 80 % positive behavior to earn prize box.
